Aurora Design raises $15M to commercialize generative icon systems

Aurora's product generates hundreds of icons consistent in stroke weight, modulation, and metaphors based on a few examples and brand constraints. It also exports to multiple formats and creates a mapped token set for design systems.

Investors include Greylock and several high‑profile design directors who led the round alongside existing backers. Funds will be used to refine the model, expand export formats (SVG, React, Flutter), and add enterprise asset management integrations.

Aurora says the outcome isn't a replacement for illustrators but a productivity tool that reduces repetitive work. The company will launch an enterprise plugin for Figma and plans an open community gallery later this year.
