Aurora HealthTech raises $55M to launch AI clinical UX platform 'CareWeave'

Aurora HealthTech announced $55 million in Series B funding led by HealthVentures and unveiled CareWeave, an AI-powered clinical UX platform that overlays existing EHR systems to surface contextually relevant patient information and reduce clicks. The company claims CareWeave can cut charting time by up to 35% in pilot sites by automating note drafts and highlighting critical patient changes.
CareWeave uses federated learning to maintain data locality and HIPAA-compliant model updates, aiming to integrate without replacing existing EHR stacks. Its UI focuses on a card-based interface for patient tasks, automated orders suggestions, and an explainable-suggestion pane to help clinicians understand why recommendations are surfaced.
The funding will be used to expand clinical partnerships, deepen integrations with major EHR vendors, and scale compliance and security teams. Aurora says it will run larger randomized pilots later this year across three health systems.
