Aurora Labs Raises $120M and Ships AuroraFold, a Multimodal Generative API for Designers

Aurora Labs closed a $120 million Series B led by Meridian Capital, bringing total funding to $210 million as the startup moves from research prototypes to commercial API offerings. The round values Aurora Labs at roughly $1.1 billion, according to sources close to the company, and will be used to expand infrastructure, compliance, and a new designer SDK.

AuroraFold, the flagship product released today, exposes multimodal endpoints for image synthesis, layout generation, and adaptive audio cues. What sets the product apart is a “design-first” feature set: component-aware outputs, editable layout maps, and a versionable prompt stack that lets teams reproduce and iterate large creative assets reliably.

Early customers in e-commerce, game UI, and digital product agencies praise AuroraFold’s deterministic controls and design tokens integration. The company says enterprise customers will get on-prem connectors and model governance tools in the coming quarter, positioning AuroraFold as a practical bridge between lab-grade generative models and production design workflows.
