Aurora Labs Raises $120M Series B to Scale Multimodal Design AI

Aurora Labs announced a $120 million Series B led by BlueBridge Capital with participation from existing investors, marking a bet on multimodal AI tailored for product design workflows. The startup's flagship product, Aurora Canvas, blends text, image, and vector generation with layout-aware constraints to produce production-ready UI assets.

The company says the funding will be used to expand enterprise integrations with design platforms and to develop a private-cloud and on-device inference stack that reduces latency and preserves IP. Aurora also plans to open a partnerships program for component libraries and design systems.

Design leads at Fortune 500 companies who piloted Canvas praised its ability to generate consistent component variants and export accessible markup. Aurora now faces the task of converting pilots into long-term subscriptions while navigating UI ownership and licensing concerns around AI-generated assets.
