Aurora Robotics today launched HomeMate, a 4-foot mobile home robot with modular payloads for cleaning, package handling, and telepresence. The company emphasized a simple, human-centered UX: gesture controls, a visual personality layer, and a companion app that prioritizes local processing for sensitive data.
To fund manufacturing tooling and supply-chain scale-up Aurora closed a $30 million seed round led by Helix Ventures with strategic contributions from Meridian Partners and Crestline Capital. The company said funds will also support regulatory certification for home safety and early retail partnerships in North America and Europe.
HomeMate is priced at $899 for a base unit, with swappable modules sold separately; Aurora plans a limited run to select retailers in Q4 2026. The team highlighted accessibility and sustainability, using a recyclable chassis and offering a long-term battery replacement program to reduce e-waste.
