Autonomy startup DriveOS raises $95M to launch fleet-grade autonomy stack for shuttles

DriveOS announced a $95 million Series C round led by General Catalyst with strategic investment from a public transit operator. The company will use the proceeds to certify its stack and expand pilot deployments at university campuses and business parks.

The DriveOS stack combines sensor fusion, behavior prediction, and fleet orchestration with tools for safety case production and regulatory reporting. The company emphasizes redundancy and formal verification workflows to meet stringent safety requirements for passenger services.

Pilots in three North American campuses reported increased vehicle utilization and higher rider satisfaction, according to DriveOS. The company plans to begin revenue-generating commercial deployments in late 2026 and expects to partner with vehicle manufacturers for integrated solutions.
