AviateXR closes $50M to launch 'HoloRooms' spatial collaboration platform

AviateXR announced HoloRooms, a spatial collaboration platform that creates persistent AR workspaces across offices and remote sites. HoloRooms integrates 3D whiteboards, pinned documents, and live user avatars that maintain spatial relationships across sessions.

The $50 million Series A was led by Horizon Partners and earmarked for production of a low-profile headset partnership and for data center capacity to support high-fidelity shared scenes. AviateXR emphasized enterprise use cases in product development, live events planning, and education.

Early pilot customers praised HoloRooms for reducing long synchronous meetings and improving hands-on product walkthroughs. The company plans an open scene format so third-party tools can plug into persistent workspaces, with developer APIs launching this fall.
