Beacon announced $9M to ship tactile feedback SDK for mobile UX

Beacon revealed a $9 million seed round and the release of Haptix SDK, a toolkit for designing and delivering nuanced haptic experiences across devices. The SDK abstracts platform differences and offers a library of calibrated patterns for feedback, navigation, and notifications.

Beacon also introduced a small external haptic puck for prototyping advanced effects on older devices. Designers can sequence patterns, reference intensity curves, and preview effects within the design toolchain.

The funding will support partnerships with handset makers, continued research into perceptual haptics, and integrations with major design platforms. Early adopters in fintech and wellness report that tactile cues improved conversion and perceived trustworthiness.
