Biometrix Raises $25M and Ships Haptic Feedback Wearable for Creative Professionals

The Biometrix band pairs high-fidelity, multi-pattern haptics with low-latency Bluetooth LE and an SDK that exposes gesture and timing hooks to creative applications. Use cases include tactile timeline scrubbing in audio DAWs, force-feedback while sculpting in 3D apps, and silent notification cues during collaborative reviews.

In addition to hardware, Biometrix released plugins for popular creative tools and an automation engine that maps haptic patterns to software states. The team claims the device improves focus and reduces cognitive switching by providing non-visual affordances when users are immersed in high-precision tasks.

The $25 million funding will support manufacturing scale, R&D into new actuator technologies, and partnerships with pro software vendors. Biometrix also hinted at future integrations with AR headsets and developer grants to spur haptic-enabled app development.
