The Blender Foundation released GreasePencil AI, a temporal model that predicts intermediate frames and helps animators with inbetweening and timing adjustments. The tool integrates with Blender's Grease Pencil workflow, allowing animators to generate suggested frames and refine strokes non-destructively.

GreasePencil AI supports style retention across frames and offers tools to correct predicted inbetweens or to lock certain control points. This accelerates the rough animation phase by reducing manual labor on repetitive inbetweening tasks while preserving creative control for the animator.
