BlueCove Raises $80M to Scale Privacy-Preserving Synthetic Data for Autonomous Vehicles
Tech · 4 min read
BlueCove generates synthetic sensor suites—LiDAR, radar, and multi-spectral cameras—paired with realistic behavioral agents and occlusion scenarios. Investors, led by Harbor Capital, cited growing demand from auto OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers seeking safer, more diverse training data.
The platform provides tools to parameterize rare edge cases, perform regulatory-compliant data audits, and stitch synthetic sequences into continual learning pipelines. BlueCove says its datasets reduce the need for costly physical data collection in dangerous or rare scenarios.
Proceeds will fund a high-fidelity urban simulator, partnerships with map providers, and expanded enterprise support for on-prem deployments. BlueCove also plans to open a GenAI lab to accelerate synthetic human behavior modeling for safer AV interactions.
