BlueForge Bio raises $95M and launches peptide design platform with AI labs

BlueForge Bio announced a $95 million Series B led by HealthCatalyst and launched ForgeLab, a platform that uses generative models to design therapeutic peptides and links those designs to automated wet-lab validation pipelines. The integrated workflow promises faster candidate generation and early synthesis testing for biotechs.

ForgeLab combines molecular property prediction models, synthesis feasibility checks, and a robotic assay scheduler to prioritize promising leads. The platform emphasizes reproducibility, built-in IP tracking, and secure collaboration for distributed research teams.

The company will use the capital to scale lab automation capacity, expand model capabilities into cyclic peptides and staples, and pursue regulatory pathways for therapeutic collaborations. BlueForge already has partnerships with two mid-stage biotechs piloting oncology and metabolic peptide candidates.
