BlueForge raises $40M to launch cloud-native indie studio and 'Nebula Arcade' distribution

BlueForge’s strategy is to combine a development studio with a managed platform offering server-backed sessions, matchmaking, and analytics. Nebula Arcade will serve as a distribution channel focused on curated multiplayer experiences with built-in crossplay between PC, console, and cloud clients.
The startup highlighted its tooling that lets small teams deploy server autorunning sessions, stateful rollback, and modular netcode templates. BlueForge also plans revenue-sharing deals and remote asset pipelines so teams can iterate on live titles without owning backend infrastructure.
Investors include PlayCap Partners and several angel investors from the indie scene; funds will finance first-party IP, platform engineering, and community moderation tools. BlueForge’s roadmap includes a public alpha of Nebula Arcade later this year and two in-house multiplayer titles in early access next year.
