BlueRidge Robotics raises $85M to launch cargo inspection robot with on-device vision

BlueRidge Robotics announced an $85 million funding round and the commercial release of Atlas Inspector, an autonomous ground robot designed for rapid cargo scanning in ports and large warehouses. Atlas runs optimized vision models locally to detect pallet anomalies, mislabeled shipments, and potential safety hazards without streaming raw video to the cloud.
The robot navigates autonomously, performs 360-degree scans, and produces audit-ready reports that integrate with warehouse management systems. BlueRidge emphasized the cost-savings from automating repetitive inspections and the privacy benefits of on-device inference in regulated logistics environments.
Funding will expand production, integrate additional sensor modalities like X-ray-capable panels for selected customers, and build a managed service offering for operations that prefer a subscription model for maintenance and software updates.
