BrightLayer raises $20M to launch accessible component library for SaaS
Design · 4 min read
BrightLayer closed a $20 million funding round led by Access Capital to create a design-and-dev component library focused on accessibility, theming, and performance for SaaS products. The product includes pre-built components, audit tooling, and runtime theming to support diverse brand needs.
Their approach combines a centralized token system with low-level primitives to make it easy for engineers to compose accessible components while preserving brand flexibility. BrightLayer includes automated accessibility checks and a CI integration to enforce standards.
The company will invest proceeds in expanding component sets, adding language bindings, and building enterprise features such as role-based theming and audit logs. Several mid-market SaaS platforms have already adopted BrightLayer in pilot programs.
