ByteForge raises $100M to build console-quality cloud streaming for indie developers
Gaming · 6 min read
ByteForge provides engine-certified runtime containers, GPU-accelerated instances, and adaptive streaming tailored to game frame-rates and input latency. The platform includes integrated matchmaking, save-state continuity, and developer analytics for streaming performance.
The $100 million investment, led by Horizon Play and including strategic cloud partners, will expand global edge capacity and subsidize streaming credits for small studios. ByteForge is offering discounted migration tooling and partnership-based revenue-sharing to help indies monetize through subscriptions and microtransactions.
Early partners include several indie studios who have used ByteForge for cross-device betas and received positive player feedback on performance. The platform's turnkey approach aims to reduce the infrastructure complexity that typically deters smaller teams from delivering high-end streaming experiences.
