Canva integrates adaptive layout engine for brand templates and responsive campaigns

Canva's new adaptive layout engine uses AI to automatically recompose designs for any format—social post, web banner, poster—while maintaining visual hierarchy and brand constraints. Users supply brand rules (logos, safe zones, type scales) and the algorithm produces multiple format-consistent variants.
The engine supports 'smart anchors' that preserve focal points and text readability when resizing and suggests alternate layouts for accessibility (increased contrast, larger type) automatically. Canva claims this reduces manual rework for marketing teams juggling dozens of output sizes.
For teams, Canva introduced a 'campaign pack' export that bundles all generated sizes with a mapping file indicating token usage and suggested developer handoff formats (SVG, JPG, or component manifests for Figma). The feature is rolling out to pro and enterprise users over the next few weeks.
