Canva launches Compose Pro: team-oriented generative layouts with brand lock

Compose Pro lets teams create templates and guardrails so marketers can generate variations at scale without drifting from brand guidelines. The brand lock enforces tokenized palettes, approved font stacks and image libraries during generation, reducing QA cycles.

The product is integrated into Canva for Teams with bulk-generation workflows for campaign assets and automated export presets for social platforms. Canva also introduced role-based approvals, where generated variations can be auto-accepted or routed to brand custodians depending on the asset type.

Smaller teams praised Compose Pro for saving time on repetitive layouts; enterprise customers appreciated governance controls that reduce rework. Canva plans to offer plugin hooks so DAMs and digital asset platforms can supply curated image libraries for locked-brand assets.
