Canva launches Team Models: branded generative models for marketing assets

Team Models lets marketing teams upload logos, palettes, and style guides to fine-tune lightweight generative models for social posts, banners, and ad variants. Canva’s infrastructure ensures the training data never leaves a customer’s tenancy and supports model lifecycle rules.
Output controls allow teams to pin layouts, maintain logo safe zones, and enforce text hierarchy automatically. Canva also provides quality gates and A/B testing hooks so teams can refine prompts and model outputs based on real campaign metrics.
Marketers praised the speed for generating campaign variants, but creative leads asked for stronger human-in-the-loop approvals to preserve brand voice. Canva said it will introduce workflow approvals and manual review queues soon.
