Upload raw footage and a one-line brief—Canva will analyze scenes, suggest key frames, and auto-generate edit points for short-form platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok. The system also produces caption variants optimized for accessibility and engagement.

Motion presets and transitions are applied non-destructively, and designers can tweak auto-synced text and timing. Canva's model considers platform aspect ratios and best-practice durations when producing timelines.

The feature is rolling out to Canva Pro users and includes an analytics dashboard that correlates generated edit choices with historical engagement data to refine future suggestions.
