Canva Magic Design Pro 2026 adds brand-aware AI templates and Figma sync

Canva rolled out Magic Design Pro 2026, a major update focusing on brand consistency and interoperability. The new branded templates use an LLM to adapt layout, imagery, and tone to a user's uploaded brand kit, including fonts, logos, and color palettes.
A highlight is one-click Figma sync: designers can export a Canva project as editable Figma frames, with assets and layout hierarchy preserved. Canva says this reduces the friction between marketing teams that prefer Canva and product designers who work primarily in Figma.
Canva also improved asset attribution and licensing flows, automatically surfacing usage rights for stock imagery suggested by the AI. The company confirmed the branded template generation runs on a hosted model but offers enterprise customers the option to exclude asset upload telemetry.
