Canva Rolls Out Smart Mockups: AI Converts Copy & Brand Assets Into Ready Ads

Canva introduced Smart Mockups, an AI-driven workflow that turns copy briefs, logos, and product photos into a suite of ad creatives and social assets. The model optimizes layouts per channel, applies brand tokens automatically, and generates multiple variants with A/B test-ready differences.

Smart Mockups pays attention to contrast and legibility, auto-suggesting typographic scales and CTA placements that conform to accessibility guidelines. Canva included a control panel so marketers can constrain mood, color intensity, and image crop preferences before generation.

The feature integrates with Canva's Brand Kit and provides downloadable asset packs with layer metadata for further editing. Canva will roll Smart Mockups out to Pro customers and partner with small agencies for early feedback.
