Canvas Collective launches Designer Co-op, a marketplace for audited UI kits and accessible components

Canvas Collective today unveiled Designer Co-op, a curated marketplace for UI kits and component libraries that have been accessibility-audited and performance-tested. The marketplace allows small studios and freelance designers to monetize reusable work while giving buyers assurance through Canvas's audit badges.

Each listing includes documentation, cross-platform tokens, design-system compatibility notes, and a trackable update feed to manage breaking changes. Buyers can filter by compliance level (WCAG 2.2 AA, mobile-first, low-motion) and by framework output.

Canvas will take a commission on sales and provide optional maintenance retainers for libraries. The company plans to add a licensing API that automates legal terms for enterprise procurement while offering a lower-cost indie tier for emerging teams.
