CanvasKit launches responsive prototyping tool with constraint-based layouts

CanvasKit unveiled a responsive prototyping tool aimed at product designers tired of manually reflowing layouts. The new product codifies design intent as constraint rules—relative spacing, scaling anchors and behavior policies—so prototypes automatically adapt across breakpoints while preserving critical visual relationships.

Designers can define breakpoints and tweak constraint priority to handle edge cases. CanvasKit also provides a developer export that translates constraints to responsive CSS and layout code snippets, reducing friction in handoffs.

In conjunction with the launch, CanvasKit announced a $14 million funding round to expand the tool's integrations and build a component marketplace. Early testers report faster iteration on multi-device flows and more predictable developer implementations.
