CanvasKit secures $15M to scale collaborative design system marketplace

CanvasKit's marketplace curates component libraries, themes, and design tokens created by top design teams and specialists. With $15 million in new funding from Meridian and Atelier Partners, the company will add more enterprise controls, per-team licensing, and automated token synchronization across design and code.

Beyond marketplace commerce, CanvasKit is investing in better discovery: semantic search powered by design metadata, previews that render live components, and compatibility badges for popular frameworks. Buyers will see maintenance metrics and version histories to reduce integration risk.

CanvasKit says the marketplace model helps teams avoid reinventing foundational components while maintaining design language consistency. The company also announced partnerships with consulting firms to assist enterprises in onboarding purchased systems.
