CanvasPlug Secures $18M Seed to Build a Micro-Interactions Marketplace for UI

CanvasPlug's marketplace hosts vetted micro-interactions bundled with code, motion specs, Lottie/JSON assets, and accessibility notes. Designers can preview interactions in-context, adjust timing curves, and export cross-platform snippets for web, native, and mobile frameworks.

The seed round will fund a creator royalty program, tooling for product teams to host private interaction libraries, and integrations with major design tools. CanvasPlug plans governance features so companies can lock down approved interactions and measure consistency across products.

Designers welcomed the time saved on crafting micro-interactions from scratch, while some caution about over-reliance on off-the-shelf motions. CanvasPlug says its curation and brand theming tools will help teams keep motion language coherent and on-brand.
