Castor AI raises $95M to launch multimodal creative studio for short-form ads

Castor AI, an AI-driven creative automation company, announced a $95 million Series C led by Coatue and launched Castor Studio, a platform that assembles short-form video creatives from product photos, copy, and performance data. The studio uses multimodal models to generate storyboards, voice-overs, editing cuts, and captioning.
Castor Studio integrates with ad platforms to automatically iterate creatives based on conversion signals. It offers brand-safe templates, A/B testing orchestration, and an insights hub that correlates creative elements with performance metrics.
The company will use fresh capital to expand model training on creator-style content, hire creative operation specialists, and launch an agency partner program. Castor says several DTC brands already use the platform for continuous creative testing.
Marketing execs see automation as a way to scale creative velocity but emphasize human oversight to preserve brand voice and authenticity. Castor’s bet is that data-guided automation will reduce creative cost per conversion while enabling rapid ad experimentation.
