Catalyst Cloud Raises $115M to Launch Game Streaming Developer Platform with UX SDK
Tech · 7 min read
Catalyst Cloud announced a $115 million investment led by CloudScale Partners to fund global datacenter expansion and the rollout of its game streaming developer platform. The platform promises sub-50ms input latency for regional deployments.
Alongside streaming infrastructure, Catalyst released a UX SDK for designers to craft responsive overlays, in-stream menus, and HUD components that adapt to varied bandwidth and latency. The SDK includes profiling tools so designers can understand perceived responsiveness across network conditions.
Game studios and cloud gaming services piloting the platform reported more consistent player experiences and easier integration of live overlays for social and monetization features. Catalyst plans to offer managed services and studio support for customizing overlay experiences.
