ClearPath Mobility debuts ParkMate, an AI valet parking robot, and secures $27M for pilots

ParkMate autonomously navigates structured indoor environments to park and retrieve vehicles using ground-level guidance markers and a constrained-path planning algorithm. The unit handles medium-sized vehicles and communicates with a mobile app to orchestrate pickups, optimizing garage density and reducing collision risk.

The $27 million funding will be used to deploy ParkMate pilots at multi-story garages, integrate with payment providers, and build an operations center for fleet monitoring. Investors include a real-estate tech fund and a parking management company that will offer pilot locations and operational expertise.

ClearPath Mobility stressed safety and regulatory compliance, noting embedded fail-safes, human override options, and integration with garage ventilation systems. The company expects to start commercial trials in three cities by year-end.
