Cloud gaming startup FluxPlay raises $75M to launch ultralow-latency regional nodes

FluxPlay, a cloud gaming startup focused on edge deployment, closed a $75 million Series B led by SoftBank Vision Fund 3 with participation from industry publishers and local infrastructure partners. The funds will build regional server clusters to reduce round-trip times for mobile and TV streaming clients.

FluxPlay's new architecture places GPU-capable nodes in last-mile POPs and partners with ISPs to provide prioritized routes. The company claims latency improvements of 20–40% in pilot cities and says this unlocks competitive play for fast-twitch titles on mobile devices.

Along with the funding, FluxPlay signed multi-year licensing deals with two mid-tier publishers to bring over 40 titles to its platform, focusing on esports-friendly and controller-enabled games. A consumer beta in Latin America and Southeast Asia is planned for Q3.
