ColorMind releases BrandHue: a model for dynamic color systems tied to brand tokens
Design · 3 min read
BrandHue accepts seed colors, a brand personality brief, and usage constraints (e.g., print, web, ambient lighting) and outputs a complete color system: primary/secondary palettes, token names, and contrast-verified pairs. The model also produces CSS custom properties and Figma-compatible token exports.
ColorMind added features to handle dark-mode reversals, motion-contrast adjustments, and localized cultural variations of color meaning. The system ensures generated palettes maintain hierarchy and semantic clarity (e.g., success, warning, neutral) while aligning to brand intent.
Design directors appreciated the systematic approach to palette scaling, although some called for more stylistic control and better support for multiplice language contexts where color semantics vary. ColorMind plans to add collaborative editing and token governance features in the coming quarter.
