ComposerAI launches Muse, a co-creative platform for composers, and raises $9M pre-seed

Muse integrates real-time accompaniment suggestions, chord progressions, and multi-track sketching with DAW export and stem isolation. The platform emphasizes composer control: AI suggestions can be nudged by scale, instrumentation, and emotional intent sliders rather than replacing musical decisions.

The $9 million pre-seed was led by Foundry Collective and several music- and media-focused angel investors. ComposerAI will invest in licensing tools for sample-clearance workflows, partnerships with music libraries, and improvements to the human-in-the-loop UI for iterative scoring.

ComposerAI showcased Muse in pilot projects with three indie game studios and an independent filmmaker, who cited faster mockup cycles and richer motif exploration. The company positions Muse as a collaboration platform that augments, not automates, the human creative process.
