Contour raises $22M to commercialize parametric UI engine for responsive products

Contour's engine allows designers to specify relationships between UI elements (constraints, ratios, adaptive rules) and generates implementations that remain consistent at runtime. The startup argues this reduces handoff friction between design and engineering while maintaining pixel-intent.

Investors include Foundry Capital and design-focused angel syndicates; proceeds will go toward SDK expansion, developer tooling, and a cloud-based collaboration layer. Contour also announced a marketplace for reusable parametric components and layout patterns.

Early adopters in fintech and enterprise SaaS report faster QA cycles and fewer layout regressions across internationalized content. Contour's roadmap includes Figma plugins and automated accessibility checks that expose potential contrast and focus issues during export.
