Cortex Canvas raises $50M to bring multimodal design co-pilot to creative teams

Cortex Canvas closed $50 million led by Unity Ventures to accelerate R&D on multimodal workflows that combine image generation, layout suggestions, and tone-aware copy for creative teams. The funding will grow research and platform engineering.

Canvas Co-Pilot allows designers to describe a concept and receive moodboards, typographic palettes, and responsive layout suggestions. Assets are generated with adjustable style sliders and constrained to brand tokens if desired.

Design managers cited faster concepting cycles and fewer iterations between design and marketing. Cortex Canvas also announced enterprise controls for IP provenance and asset licensing metadata.
