Creative Cloud adds per-project licensing and new plugin marketplace
Tech · 4 min read
Adobe’s per-project licensing allows teams to attach Creative Cloud seats to individual projects for fixed durations, simplifying billing for temporary collaborators, freelancers and agency workflows. The model supports flexible seat reassignment and audit logs to track who accessed project assets.
Alongside licensing, Adobe relaunched its plugin marketplace with verified badges for performance and security. Vendors can submit plugins for a new certification process that includes sandboxed runtime checks and automated compatibility tests across major Adobe apps.
For organizations, the marketplace offers managed distribution: admins can bulk-approve plugins for their tenant and restrict unapproved extensions. Adobe says these moves are aimed at reducing friction during large-scale collaborations and improving trust in third-party tooling.
