DeepMind debuts Gemini Studio: visual model editing geared for designers

Gemini Studio provides a node-based visual editor where designers can assemble prompt chains, set constraints (like length and style), and inject domain-specific rules. The interface includes a live simulator that shows how edits affect multi-turn behavior and edge cases.

The product also exposes a lightweight policy editor for safety and brand compliance, enabling teams to add hard-stop rules or automated rephrases before outputs reach the UI. Changes can be versioned and A/B tested in staging environments.

DeepMind is positioning Gemini Studio as complementary to engineering model-control tools, emphasizing that designers can iterate on conversational flows without touching model weights. The company announced pilot partners across fintech and health tech for the initial rollout.
