Design tool Looma raises $15M seed to build code-free AR prototyping suite

Looma, a startup focused on augmented reality design, raised $15 million in seed funding led by Index Ventures with participation from Designer Fund and a group of XR industry angels. The new capital will accelerate product development and expand their design partner program.
Looma's product is a web-based, code-free AR prototyping suite that includes a visual timeline editor, physics-based interactions, and templates for common spatial UI patterns. Designers can export lightweight scenes for mobile AR, HoloLens, and Meta Quest, or hand off assets directly to engineers with generated TypeScript and GLTF bundles.
Early adopters include enterprise UX teams at automotive and retail brands who cited faster iteration cycles and clearer stakeholder communication. Looma plans an invite-only beta this quarter and a broader launch scheduled for Q4 2026.
