The AI tagging system clusters user quotes, captures recurring issues, and proposes labels that researchers can accept or correct. The sentiment-aware highlights flag statements that indicate high frustration or delight, helping teams prioritize follow-up.

Exportable synthesis reports include recommended next steps and suggested design changes mapped to user quotes. Dovetail retained control: all suggested tags are editable and the platform logs reviewer changes for auditability.

Researchers welcomed the automation for initial passes, but emphasized that human interpretation remains critical. The update is positioned as a way to reduce manual tagging time, freeing researchers to focus on higher-level insights and validation.
