EchoForge launches 'MuseAudio' for real-time adaptive game music and raises $30M Series A

MuseAudio generates musical layers conditioned on game state, pacing, and player behavior, allowing composers to create rule sets rather than write every possible cue. EchoForge provided middleware for Unity and Unreal that exposes composer controls to live mixing and transition smoothing.
Andreessen Horowitz led the round with support from Sony Innovation Fund and several veteran game composers as strategic investors. EchoForge intends to use the funds to expand licensing to AAA studios and to build a catalog of composer-created musical primitives.
Studios in closed beta reported more expressive soundscapes with lower memory overhead compared to traditional adaptive audio implementations. EchoForge emphasized composer-led workflows: MuseAudio produces stems composers can tweak rather than opaque, final outputs, preserving creative intent.
