EchoFoundry gets $22M to commercialize vector audio models for game studios

EchoFoundry closed a $22 million round led by Benchmark and supported by several game-industry angels. The startup focuses on vector audio models that synthesize context-aware sound effects and adaptive music for interactive experiences.

EchoFoundry launched a native plugin compatible with Unity and Unreal that generates procedural audio assets using scene parameters and gameplay signals. The tool aims to reduce the need for large audio banks and elaborate middleware for small and mid-sized studios.

The company highlighted use cases including adaptive ambiance, contextual footsteps, and real-time Foley that responds to player actions. Early trials show dramatic reductions in asset storage and faster iteration cycles for audio teams.
