EchoFrame raises $16M to scale an AR compositing tool for remote collaboration

EchoFrame released StudioAR, a collaborative augmented reality compositing tool that allows remote teams to pin 3D notes, measurements, and component mockups into a shared spatial context. The product supports persistent sessions, multi-user edits, and exportable snapshots for stakeholders who need traceable review artifacts.
The $16 million funding round was led by Urban Ventures and will enable EchoFrame to expand device support, improve spatial alignment algorithms, and build integrations with BIM and CAD systems. EchoFrame says the tool is specifically designed to reduce ambiguity during remote design reviews, a common pain point for distributed architecture and manufacturing teams.
Early trials in architecture firms and furniture makers indicated reduced rework and clearer sign-off processes. EchoFrame plans to introduce moderated review workflows and more advanced spatial analytics to measure design acceptance in context.
