EchoFrame raises $20M to commercialize ambient computing displays and debuts Aura Screens

EchoFrame closed a $20 million funding round and introduced Aura Screens, a family of low-luminance displays designed for ambient information such as calendar statuses, environmental cues, and contextual prompts in shared spaces.

Aura Screens emphasize glanceable interactions, support low-power always-on modes, and integrate with major smart home platforms. The company is targeting hospitality, office spaces, and product design studios.

EchoFrame will use the funding to build partnership programs with furniture manufacturers and to expand manufacturing lines for the displays. The company also plans firmware tooling for designers to craft ambient experience templates.

Designers working with Aura Screens said the product spurs more thoughtful notification design, where subtlety and timing matter more than attention-grabbing visuals that break user flow.
