EchoSense raises $18M to launch ambient health monitoring earbuds

EchoSense announced $18 million in a Series A round led by HealthBridge Ventures and introduced a pair of earbuds that combine bone-conduction sensors, Doppler radar, and inertial measurement to track breathing patterns, heart rate variability, and sleep micro-arousals. The company emphasizes privacy: all raw signal processing and anomaly detection runs on-device.

The product pairs with an app that provides trend insights, sleep coaching, and a clinician portal for subscription-based telehealth monitoring. EchoSense highlighted trials showing early detection of sleep-disordered breathing events and improved adherence to behavioral interventions when users received tailored nudges.

The funding will expand clinical trials and obtain regulatory clearances in multiple markets. EchoSense plans to integrate with digital therapeutics partners and pursue reimbursement pathways for chronic respiratory care.
