EchoSense raises $60M to launch haptics-as-a-service for remote collaboration
Tech · 5 min read
EchoSense unveiled HaptixCloud today — a middleware platform that layers programmable haptic experiences into video conferencing, remote training, and collaborative design tools. The company also announced a $60 million Series B led by General Catalyst to commercialize the offering.
HaptixCloud abstracts hardware differences across a range of devices, from advanced touchpads to new wearable haptics, enabling developers to map interactions to tactile events. EchoSense demonstrated workflow use cases where designers could ‘feel’ surface textures during remote product reviews and engineers could sense mechanical tolerances in CAD reviews.
The new capital will fund SDK expansion, chipset partnerships, and customer integrations in healthcare and manufacturing verticals. EchoSense plans to open an early access program with major collaboration platforms before end of Q3 2026.
