EchoType raises $12M to build developer-first structured writing SDK
Tech · 3 min read
EchoType raised $12 million in seed funding to build a structured writing SDK for product and developer documentation. The SDK embeds templates, API contract verification, and legal clause checks directly into authoring tools, reducing inconsistent docs and downstream compliance issues.
EchoType’s approach combines schema-driven editors with live validation and a library of reusable policy snippets maintained by legal and developer ops. The product integrates with popular doc platforms and supports export to markdown, OpenAPI, and internal wikis.
The funding will be used to expand integrations, add localization workflows, and develop an enterprise governance console for policy distribution and auditing. Early adopters include developer platforms aiming to keep spec and implementation aligned.
