Epic Games reveals Unreal Muse: AI cinematic and UX tool for game and UI designers
Gaming · 5 min read
Unreal Muse combines generative scene direction with UX layout tools to let game designers rapidly prototype cinematic sequences and HUD interactions. Designers can script scene beats in plain language ("dramatic reveal, slow pan, UI fades in") and Muse composes camera paths, timing curves, and initial UI mockups.
Muse produces editable blueprints and sequencer tracks, as well as a HUD generator that aligns elements with gameplay camera and action. The system is tuned to maintain consistent frame rate budgets and suggests simplified fallback variants for lower-end hardware.
Epic is positioning Muse for narrative-driven studios and indie teams who need fast iteration across gameplay and cinematic pacing. Integration with Quixel and major asset libraries enables quick placeholder swaps and iterative polishing.
