The $30 million round was co-led by Atelier Capital and Nexus Ventures and will be used to expand datasets, hire design researchers, and build enterprise-grade collaboration features. DesignerGPT aims to bridge design systems and implementation by generating mockups, responsive variants, and annotated specs.
DesignerGPT claims to understand component libraries and accessibility constraints, producing alternatives that meet WCAG 2.2 recommendations and cross-platform consistency. Early partners include three mid-size product teams who reported a 40% reduction in handoff time between design and engineering.
Fable’s CEO, Lian Ortega, said the product will offer on-prem and private-cloud deployments for large clients and will launch a public plugin for Figma later this summer. The company also introduced a small grant program for community libraries to curate high-quality pattern datasets.
