FigJam gets playtesting widgets and game prototyping kit

FigJam's new widgets include virtual controllers, physics tokens, and stateful scenario blocks that allow designers to simulate game mechanics and flow without code. Playtesting templates provide moderated test scripts, participant recording toggles, and annotation layers for rapid feedback capture during user sessions.

The game prototyping kit supports exportable state diagrams and mock input traces that can be forwarded to developers as starting points for integration. FigJam also added a lightweight timeline widget so designers can storyboard interactive sequences and sync them with prototype playback.

Figma emphasized cross-role collaboration: producers can run moderated playtests from FigJam, designers can iterate on mechanics in real time, and developers can extract interaction specs. The toolkit is aimed at small studios and UX teams that want quick validation before committing to engine builds.
