Figma 2026.2 adds AI-driven constraint solver and live accessibility checks

Figma's 2026.2 release brings an AI-assisted constraint solver that analyzes component intent and predicts how elements should reflow across breakpoints. Designers can accept automatic reflow suggestions or tweak constraints; the solver learns from edits to improve future predictions across projects.

The update also introduces a live accessibility checking layer that surfaces contrast, keyboard navigation, and semantic markup issues while you design. The checker provides actionable fixes—such as suggested color swaps and alternative ARIA attributes—and integrates with export pipelines so issues can be tracked in CI and ticketing systems.

Figma says the features were developed from telemetry and researcher collaboration with accessibility experts. Plugin authors can now tap into the constraint API to craft custom responsive patterns that leverage the same underlying AI model for consistent behavior across ecosystems.
