Figma 6.0 launches 'FigGPT' assistant and vector healing tools for precision edits

FigGPT is Figma's new assistant built into the editor that can generate UI copy variants, propose component hierarchies, and surface accessibility fixes like color contrast and focus order suggestions. Designers can ask for UI patterns in natural language and receive editable components and token suggestions.
The vector healing tools repair path errors, merge redundant nodes, and propose simplified Bézier control point adjustments while preserving designer intent. A preview diff shows before-and-after vector geometry so designers can accept, tweak, or revert changes.
Figma emphasizes that FigGPT runs in a privacy-first mode for teams that enable it, with options for on-prem or private-cloud model deployment for enterprise customers. Early testers praise the copy and repair features for saving small, repetitive edits that add up over time.
